As a person that enjoyed playing pretty much all of the Call of Duties that have come out this may seem a little biased. I did genuinely enjoy playing the new COD in the beginning, it was slower paced and took time to get used to it, but that pretty much ended when people started unlocking the M4A1 and the 725. Sure skill based matching making did make the game harder, less of casual game and to be honest I’m not sure how that system actually works. Most of the people I play with are definitely better than I am. It was abundantly clear last Saturday when some random guy on my friends list join the opposite team and went 50 – 18. Though there are a lot of things I dislike about the game there are several things about the game I liked, the new weapon system is fun having to choose between so many attachments really can change your play style. The spec ops mission might be the hardest thing I have ever played, like worse than zombies after the 30th round but the Harbinger actually feels like a mission you can complete if you have competent players and good communication. The addition of 2 v 2 gunfight makes the game 100x better in my opinion and is actually way more fun than the core game itself. Ground war is just battlefield in my opinion, but what is the point of having lobbies that can have more than 6 players join but you can’t play any of the online modes. For example there are 10v10 modes in casual modes but you can only have a maximum of six players in your party how does that make any sense? 64 v 64 is a maximum party of 4 players because each team has 16 squads. Why not put excess players in different squads? It’s honestly not that hard to implement since people in your friends list can just join your game, however they may be on the other side instead of being in a different squads. In conclusion the game is fun to play in the beginning, then SBMM comes in to play the game starts to get more harder, and punishes you for being better, the game is full of things that turns off older members of the community, in favour of the newer community.
If I were to rate the game it would be 7/10.
